Description
Nerello Mascalese from Contrada Rampante, on the north face of Etna at 700 m. Ungrafted vines on volcanic sand, some of them a century old.
Pale in the glass and deceptively light. Wild strawberry, ash, dried herbs. Firm tannin, salt on the finish. Serve at 16 °C, and open it an hour before.
