EDITION 001DOCUMENTATION

Revue — Editorial
Setup guide

Everything installs in about 10 minutes, without code. Bought the theme? Your zip contains this same guide offline.

1. Install the theme

  1. In your Shopify admin: Online Store → Themes.
  2. Add theme → Import a zip file.
  3. Pick revue-theme.zip (as is — do not unzip it).
  4. The theme appears in your library: Customize to open it, Publish when you're ready.

2. First settings (10 minutes)

  • Home page — pick the hero image, the "New arrivals" collection, the editorial block image. Sections show placeholders until configured.
  • Theme settings → Colors — the editorial palette (cream/ink) is ready out of the box; everything is adjustable.
  • Theme settings → Social media — your Instagram, TikTok… links (shown in the footer).
  • Theme settings → Cart — drawer cart (default) or cart page; free-shipping threshold in your store currency (e.g. 150).

4. Included page templates

Create your pages in Online Store → Pages and assign the matching template ("Template" dropdown on the right):

Page to createTemplate to assign
Brand / Aboutmarque
Lookbooklookbook
FAQfaq
Contactcontact
Terms / legalpolitique

Each page's content is then filled in the theme editor (sections and blocks).

5. Product metafields (optional)

Three product metafields (Settings → Custom data → Products) enrich the product page:

  • custom.composition (multi-line text) — fabric/origin, shown in the right-hand corner.
  • custom.size_guide (multi-line text) — CSV format: first line = headers, then one line per size (e.g. SIZE,CHEST,SHOULDERS then S,57,48).
  • custom.model_size (e.g. M) — highlights the model's size in the table.

Without these fields, a default size table is configurable in the Product section.

6. Checkout

Express payment buttons. The product page shows Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and any other accelerated method your store accepts, so a buyer can pay in one tap without creating an account. Turn them off with Show express payment buttons on the product section.

These buttons come from Shopify, not from the theme: they only appear once accelerated checkouts are switched on in Settings → Payments → Shopify Payments → Manage → Wallets, and each visitor only sees the methods their own device supports. Nothing shows while the store is still password-protected.

Checkout in your colours (optional). Settings → Checkout → Customize: palette #141414 / #F2F0EA / #ECEAE3, IBM Plex Mono font (Shopify library).

7. Bonus: order-confirmation email

The bonus/order-confirmation.html file styles the "Order confirmation" email: Settings → Notifications → Order confirmation → Edit code, replace the HTML body with the file's content.

8. Cookies

The theme includes a consent banner wired to Shopify's Customer Privacy API. Disable the native banner (Settings → Customer privacy) — otherwise the theme's banner hides itself automatically to avoid duplicates.
